We offer surf lessons, trips, coaching, and professional surf photography around Bali and other islands in Indonesia. For many of us on Bali beaches, surfing is everything. It is how we have fun, destress and make a living as well. We want to share with you the experience of surfing and show you what it can bring to your life.
Our qualified surf instructors and surf guides are all experienced and very good surfers. Our aim is to make your surfing experience fun and safe at all times. Most of our lessons take place in Batu Bolong beach in Canggu but if the conditions require it, we can take you to other spots around Bali. If you have never surfed before but want to try it out the private beginner surf lesson is perfect for you. Surfing is the most fun thing you can do on this planet! It is good for your health and good for your mindset. We think everyone should try surfing. Come and enjoy the ride with us for your first time up on the board with master professional coaches who will always be next to you and make you feel safe and happy in the water. No previous surf experience is needed!
If you have already tried surfing before and know the basics the private intermediate surf lesson is a good fit for you. You will jump in the water with our professional instructor who will help you to choose the right waves and feel more confident in the ocean.
Do you want to try surfing for the first time with your partner, friend, or family member? If the answer is yes you can book a semi-private beginner surf lesson. You will have one on one instructors and the lesson will go on for two hours. No previous surfing experience is needed! Come and make memories with us.
If you and your surf buddy have some surfing experience and want to learn more about the ocean and surfing our semiprivate intermediate surf lesson is good for you. Our experienced surf instructors will stay near you and help you to choose the right spot and the right waves. You will also get valuable feedback on how to improve your surf skills and technique.
Do you feel like you know how to catch a wave, turn, and generate speed but you struggle to improve more? Say no more we will help you! Surf-coaching is for those who want to learn manoeuvres like snap, cutback and curving on a shortboard. Contact us to consult with your surfing needs and let’s go surfing together!
If you want to book a surf lesson for kids aged 4-12 years, we are happy and experienced to take your kids surfing. For small kids we do tandem and older kids can go on their own surfboard. Let’s make some memories while surfing in Bali!
If you are looking to try foil boarding for the first time or want to improve your skills in it you can book a foiling lesson with us. We offer lessons with an experienced foil board instructor and athlete. Our foiling lessons mostly take place in Sanur but on clients’ request we can try other spots as well. The price includes all equipment needed. Contact us to book your foiling lesson!
If you are an experienced foil boarder looking for just a towing boat without having a lesson, we offer that at a rate of IDR 500K per hour.

If you are travelling with a group of friends or family of four or more and you want to try surfing together we offer our lessons at a discounted price of IDR 750k per person. We can also host surf lessons for yoga retreats, university student groups, bachelor and bachelorette parties etc. Send us a message on Whatsapp to request a group surf lesson!
When surfing we rely on the nature aka the ocean. The time of the surf lesson will depend on the tide, the swell and the wind, which can be different every day. We also take into consideration your ability and skills. That’s why we need to see the condition every day and agree on the time of the surf lesson a day before.
Our surf lessons include all required equipment (surf board, rash guard, leg rope and zinc). We go through some surf theory in the beginning of the lesson including ocean safety, paddling technique and pop up practice. Then you’ll spend a maximum of 2 hours in the ocean catching waves. We also include landscape photos and videos in the lesson price so you will have memories of your lesson forever.
Bring a swimsuit, sun screen, and a towel.
Bali has many beginner-friendly surf spots. Some of the most popular ones are Batu Bolong, Kuta Beach, Double Six, and Baby Padang.
Bali is a good destination for intermediate surfers. There are both left- and right-handers. Our favourite surf spots for intermediate surfers are Batu Bolong, Kedungu, Medewi, Nusa Dua, and Serangan.
You become a surfer when you jump in the ocean for the first time! However, it might take some time for you to feel fully confident with the waves and other people in the water. We recommend you to go with an instructor for 3-5 times. This is for you to always feel safe, understand the surf etiquette, and read the ocean traffic.
Yes! We have had many clients who don’t know how to swim but are brave enough to try surfing with us. We will choose a suitable surf spot and keep you confident in the water. You will be surfing in no time.

Jackie TanFound Alfred on Instagram for surf photography. Two of my children and their friend first time surfing in Bali. Thought will be interesting to take some nice videos and shots . As they are too far out, we couldn’t really see where they are and picture quality will be compromised. Alfred is the only one that I found that do water shoot at close. Taking the pictures at fish angle really nice and sharp. Though the teenagers only 4 days of surfing , with the photography it definitely make them look pro. 😂 Most important I can see how they are doing and with two extra pair of eyes ( Alfred and his assistant on land to do landscape videos) , I can go for my morning coffee at ease knowing they are safe 😄. Highly recommend him for photography and videos, he is very responsive on messages. Gave him deposit even with seeing him and he turn up on time 6.45 am to pick the teenagers to the beach.
